DAY 4

• Spend the afternoon at leisure and enjoy the surrounding nature on a guided walk.

DAY 5

• Wake up early and have your breakfast before starting the morning safari by Boat.

• Enjoy the only experience in Sri Lanka that allows you to spot wildlife from the water. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in the animals’ habitats. With a little luck you could spot elephants swimming between islands or bathing at the lake’s edge. A 2–3-hour safari by boat, and a scenic 40-minutes’ drive from the lodge to the lake is perfect to explore the national park and surrounding villages.

DAY 7

• Early in the morning do a safari at Yala National Park.

• Collect the packed breakfast from the hotel and proceed for Yala National Park for morning 4×4 safari.

• Yala National Park – Yala National Park is famous for big herds of elephants, large number of leopards, spotted deer, sambar, crocodiles, mongoose, wild boars, wild buffaloes and many other animals. More than 130 bird species have been recorded which include the resident birds and winter visitors. The common birds found here are spot-billed pelicans, cormorants, egrets, spoonbills, herons, storks, ibises, bitterns, Indian moorhens, white-breasted water hens.

• Take a trek through the quaint paths of Sinharaja where placid undergrowth lie in wait for the appreciation of all who wish to indulge in an adventure to the tranquil wilderness of Sri Lanka’s world renowned rainforest.
